Five more patients in Lagos State have recovered fully from COVID-19 and have also been discharged.
According to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who made this announcement on Sunday, the patients tested negative twice before they were discharged.
The governor said, “Today, I am happy to inform you that five more patients comprising two males and three females including a 10-year-old girl have tested negative twice to #COVID19.
“These 5 patients have been discharged to reunite with their families. This brings to a total of 29, the number of patients who have fully recovered and have been discharged from our facility at Yaba.”
Sanwo-Olu also urged Lagosians to remain steadfast in adhering strictly to the established guidelines for curtailing the spread of COVID-19, even as he noted that there was a strong indication that the State was winning the battle against the pandemic.
“I strongly advise that we continue to observe Social Distancing. Let us Stay Home to save lives,” he said.
While the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria stands at 224, Lagos State alone has 115 cases.
