Nigeria Records First COVID-19 Deaths In A Week

Nigeria has recorded its first COVID-19 deaths in seven days after two patients were on Saturday reported to have died.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which reported the deaths also annouced 111 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

Nigeria now has a total of 60,103 confirmed cases, with 51,711 patients discharged and 1,115 deaths reported.

Plateau State led with the number of new cases, reporting 32 infections, followed by Lagos State, which had 23.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported 15 new cases, Osun State had 11, Ogun STate had nine, Oyo State had six, Imo State had four, while Bauchi, Kaduna and Yobe states had three cases each.

Rivers State had only two cases.
