Presidential Election: Labour Party Wins Lagos, Enugu

Also declaring the results for Enugu State, the Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo, said LP wins 428,640 votes, while PDP came second with 15,749 votes followed by Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) with 1808 votes.

Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has emerged winner of Saturday presidential election in Lagos with 582,454 votes.

State Collation Officer and Vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Prof. Adenike Oladiji, presenting the result in Abuja on Monday said the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 572,606 votes .

Oladiji said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar also scored 75,750 votes while zenith Labour Party (ZLP) scored 9,964

Others AA scored 498 votes, Accord- 3069, AAC-1597 votes, ADC-5789, ADP -2439, APGA-2,316, APM-709, APP-371, BP-1837, NNPP-8442, NRM-609, PRP-1120, SDP-772, and YPP-1109

She gave the state total Registered voters as 7060195, number of accredited voters as 1,347152; Total Votes Cast-1,335,729; Total Valid votes-1,271,451 while 64278 votes were ejected.

Ofo said that the Accord scored, AAC-165 AA 77 votes, AAC-128, ADC-282, ADP -200, APC-4,772, APGA-1,548, APM-351, APP-209, BP-504, NRM-414, PDP- 15,749, PRP-95, SDP-103, YPP-290 and ZLP-1089.

Registered voters in the state according to Ofo was 2,112,793; accredited voters -482,990; the total Votes Cast-468,891; Total Valid votes-456,424 while rejected votes was 12,467.
