Kaduna Govt To Spend N213.9m For surveys In 2022

The Kaduna State Government has earmarked N213.9m to the Bureau of Statistics for various surveys in 2022 to generate data for planning.

This is contained in the 2022 approved budget of N278.6 billion signed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The budget has a capital expenditure of N185 billion.

According to the budget document obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Monday, N35.4 million would be spent on general households’ survey, and N37.4 million on annual schools’ census.

Also, some N16.7 million was earmarked for the conduct of agricultural survey, N36.6 million for annual GDP survey while N16.1 million for ease of doing business survey and N12.9 million for manpower survey.

Other allocations include N11.5 million for the Small and Medium Enterprises survey, N10.5 million for informal sector survey and N12.9 million for trade and tourism survey.

The government further earmarked N11.9 million for infrastructural mapping and citizens’ perception survey.

A total of N349 million was also allocated for the bureau, representing 0.13 per cent of the total budget size.

It comprised of N135.2 million for recurrent expenditure and N213.9 million for capital expenditure higher than the N145 million allocated in 2021.
