Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman, Udo Ekpeyong Dies Of COVID-19

Ekpenyong has rarely been seen in public in recent days, with reports he had been receiving treatment for COVID 19 at an isolation cenre.

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Udo Ekpenyong, is has died from complications due to COVID-19.

Though both the state government and the party secretariat are yet to officially confirm the death, Ekpenyong reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday in Uyo, the state capital.

Ekpenyong has rarely been seen in public in recent days, with reports he had been receiving treatment for COVID 19 at an isolation cenre.

Ekpenyong, was at a time the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the government of Udom Emmanuel.
