Nigeria Records 126 New Cases Of COVID-19

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 56,604, while 47,872 patients have been discharged and 1,091 deaths recorded.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday reported 126 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 56,604, while 47,872 patients have been discharged and 1,091 deaths recorded.

At least 17 states reported new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded the highest number of new infections with 37, followed by Lagos State, which had 27.

In Plateau State, there were 16 new infections, nine in Kaduna State, seven in Abia State, six each in Gombe and Ondo states, and five in Imo State.

Delta, Ekiti, Kwara and Oyo states had two each, while Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, Ogun and Yobe states all had one case each.
