Borno Gets New Garrison Commander After Attack On Governor’s Convoy

Nigerian Army change Borno State Garrison Commandar a week after governor of the state, Babangana Zulum’s convoy was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents.

Zulum, who raised the alarm that there are sabotage in the system frustrating the war against insurgency in Borno State after his convoy was attacked last week, made this known in a statement via his social media platforms.

While appreciating the former garrison commander for his service in Borno State, Zulum said a new Garrison Commander 7 Division resumed work in the state on Wednesday.

The statement reads, “Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Wednesday received the new Garrison Commander 7 Division, Nigerian Army.

“He was accompanied by the outgoing Garrison Commander, Brigadier General Sunday Igbinomwanhia at the Government House.

“The Governor has presented a souvenir to the outgoing Garrison Commander, Brigadier General Sunday Igbinomwanhia in appreciation of his service to Borno State.”
