COVID-19: Nigeria’s Confirmed Cases Now 40

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria is now 40.

The agency which reported this latest development on its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, stated that two of the four cases were travellers who just returned to the country.

The NCDC tweeted, “As at 11:00pm on the 23rd of March, there are 40 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria. Two have been discharged with one death recorded.”

A furthermore breakdown of the latest four cases shows that three of them were diagnosed in Lagos State while one is in Abuja.
