Nigeria Records 164 New Cases Of COVID-19

14 states recorded new cases with Lagos reporting the highest number with 64 new infections.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday reported 164 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

This takes the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections to 60,430, while 51,943 patients have been discharged from hospital.

The NCDC reported no new deaths and the country’s total number of deaths remained at 1,115.

14 states recorded new cases with Lagos reporting the highest number with 64 new infections. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had 26 new cases.

In Enugu State, there were 20 new cases, 11 each in Kaduna and Oyo states, eight in Plateau State, and seven new cases in Ondo State.

Anambra State had four cases, Nasarawa and Osun states had three each, Ebonyi and Imo states had two each, while Benue, Katsina and Ogun states had one new case each.
