Nigeria Records 120 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday reported 120 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

This takes the total number of confirmed cases to 59,465, with 50,951 patients discharged from hospital and a total death toll of 1,113.

13 states accounted for all of the 120 cases, with Lagos, which had been the epicentre of the pandemic reporting none.

Plateau State, which in recent weeks has reporting some of the highest infections also reported no new infection.

Rivers State reported the highest number of new cases with 65 infections, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which had 12.

In Ogun State, there were nine new cases, eight in Katsina State, seven in Anambra State and five each in Bauchi and Oyo State.

Nasarawa State reported three new cases, Kaduna State had two, while Kwara, Taraba, Imo and Delta states had one new case each.
