Nigeria Records 176 New Cases Of COVID-19

The number of patients that have been discharged from hospital now stands at 43,610 while the number of recorded deaths is 1,070.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday reported 176 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country, taking the total number of cases to 55,632.

The number of patients that have been discharged from hospital now stands at 43,610 while the number of recorded deaths is 1,070.

At least 17 states reported new cases with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recording the highest number of cases. It had 40 new cases.

Lagos State had the second highest number of new cases of COVID-19 with 34, while Plateau State had 26.

In Enugu State, there were 14 new infections, 12 each in Delta and Ogun states, nine in Ondo State, eight in Oyo State, six in Ekiti State, four in Ebonyi State, two each in Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kwara and Rivers states,

Edo, Osun and Bauchi states each had just one cases of new infection of the Coronavirus disease.
