Obasanjo Tests Negative For COVID-19

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has tested negative for COVID-19 after undergoing a test in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to his media assistant Kehinde Akinyemi, the test was conducted by a private laboratory, Molecular Genetics Laboratory 54gene, Lagos.

The test was conducted by Dr. Olukunle Oluwasemowo on August 7, 2020, at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Pent House residence, Okemosan, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Akinyemi said the samples taken was returned negative on Saturday.

The laboratory is one of the accredited laboratories approved by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to conduct the crucial Covid-19 test on both asymptomatic and symptomatic Nigerian.
