Delta Monarch Demands Akpabio’s Resignation

He said Akpabio’s continued stay in office was damaging the anti-graft war of President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The traditional ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom in Delta State, His Majesty, Charles Ayemi-Botu, has demanded for the resignation of the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, over the financial scandals engulfing the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The royal father who spoke at a media briefing in Warri on Thursday, expressed hope that the resignation would help reduce tension that building up in the region over the mismanagement of funds at the NDDC.

He said Akpabio’s continued stay in office was damaging the anti-graft war of President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

With accusations coming from Akpabio and counter accusations from members of the National Assembly and former governor, the Delta monarch described the minister as coming across as someone neck deep in corruption.
