595 New Cases Of COVID-19 Recorded In Nigeria

At least 20 states reported new cases and nine states now have more than 1,000 confirmed cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday reported 595 new cases of COVID-19 in the country taking the total number of confirmed cases 33,153.

The number of patients discharged now stands at 13,671 and the death toll is 744.

At least 20 states reported new cases and nine states now have more than 1,000 confirmed cases.

Only seven states; Kofi, Cross River, Taraba, Yobe, Ekiti, Zamfara and Kebbi have less than 100 cases each.
Lagos State which reported 156 new cases now has a total of 12,583 confirmed cases.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has 2,675 while Kaduna is the latest state to confirm more than 1,000 cases.

The NCDC update showed Oyo reported 141 new cases and the FCT recorded 99, Edo had 47 and Kaduna had 27.

Ondo reported 22, Rivers had 20, Osun had 17, Imo had 13, Plateau reported 10, while Nasarawa and Anambra reported eight each.

Kano, Benue and Borno states recorded five each, Ogun reported four, Taraba and Gombe had three each, and Kebbi and Cross Rivers each had one case.
