Emir of Daura Holds Court In Isolation

While holding court at the hospital, the Daura Emir was seen receiving a visitor who he exchanged pleasantries with and even touched despite still being in isolation for a virus that is very contagious.

The Emir of Daura, Faruk Umar Faruk, who has been in isolation since May 5, 2020 after a number of people tested positive for covid-19 in his, has appeared in a video clip holding court in a hospital.

In the video circulating on social media, the Emir can be seen sitting in front of the entrance of the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina and surrounded by palace guards in setting with chairs and Persian rugs made to look like a palace court.

From his appearance in the video, the Emir who is close to 80 seemed to be in good health.

There were reports that he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit shortly after he hospitalised.

In the video clip, lasting only a few short minutes, the Emir later got up and walked back into the hospital unaided.
