A Part Of Me Is Gone – Yinka Odumakin’s Wife, Joe Cries

Odumakin died on Saturday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) from COVID-19 related complications.

Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin, wife of the Afenifere Spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, has described the late political activist as her ‘irreplaceable soulmate.’

Odumakin died on Saturday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) from COVID-19 related complications.

Joe in a statement obtained by The Interview Saturday afternoon appreciated those who had commiserated with her over her husband’s passing and also urged them not to neglect the masses whose cause Yinka had dedicated his life

The statement read, “With gratitude to the Supreme Being for a life well spent, I announce the passing on of my beloved husband, Comrade Yinka DOdumakin to the great beyond after a brief illness.

“The sad event happened this morning (Saturday, 3/4/2021) at the intensive care unit of LASUTH where he was being managed for respiratory issues due tr’o complications from COVID-19 which he had recovered from about a week ago.

“I appreciate the outpouring of grief and sympathy from home and abroad as I mourn my irreplaceable soulmate. I urge us all to remain steadfast in the cause of the masses to which he dedicated his life.

“Burial arrangement will be made public in due course.”

The late Odumakin was also President Buhari’s spokesman when he ran for president on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
