13 States Report 198 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 198 new cases of COVID-19 infections in 13 states of the country.

The new cases take Nigeria’s total number of confirmed cases to 66,805, with 62,493 patients discharged and a total of 1,169 deaths recorded.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported the highest number of new cases. While it had 53 new infections, Lagos reported 48 cases.

Ogun State had the third highest number of new cases with 40 infections.

Akwa Ibom State had 20 new cases, while Bauchi State had nine.

In Plateau State, there were eight new cases, five in Kaduna State, four in Kano State and three each in Benue, Jigawa and Nasarawa states.

Edo and Kwara states each had a single new case.
