Thugs taking advantage of the EndSARS protests against police brutality have invaded and displaced the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, from his place at Lagos Island.

The thugs who invaded the palace earlier on Wednesday accused the Oba of being a politician with close ties to former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu.

There are also separate reports that some hoodlums have converged close to Tinubu’s residence at Bourdillon in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The thugs were initially had planned to burn down the palace but were persuaded not to by soldiers at the palace.

The protesting youths however succeeded in displacing the Ova who was whisked away by the soldiers.

Reports filtering in say the palace has been looted with artefacts being carted away by the hoodlums.

The armed soldiers were reported to have responded to a distress call from the palace.
