Nigeria Records 179 New Cases Of COVID-19

The total number of confirmed cases has now risen to 60,834, with 52,143 patients discharged and a death toll of 1,116.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday reported 179 new cases of COVID-19 infections in 23 states of the federation.

The total number of confirmed cases has now risen to 60,834, with 52,143 patients discharged and a death toll of 1,116.

Lagos State, which has witnessed a resurgence of new infections in recent days reported the highest number of cases with 116.

It was followed by Anambra State which had 20 new cases. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Oyo and Rivers states had nine each.

Delta and Nasarawa states had three new cases each, Edo, Kaduna, Ogun and Plateau states had two each, while Ekiti and Osun states had one case each.
