Nigeria Records 132 COVID-19 Cases In 11 States

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday reported 132 new cases of COVID-19 infections in 11 states of the federation.

With the latest infections, Nigeria now has a total 56,388 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

One more COVID-19 death was also reported, taking the total number of deaths due to the coronavirus disease to 1,083.

While 185 patients were discharged on Monday, the NCDC update showed that a total of 44,337 patients have now been discharged since the pandemic first broke out in Nigeria late in February.

Lagos State reported the highest number of new cases with 52 infections, followed by Gombe State, which had 27 new cases.

Plateau State reported 17 new cases, Kwara State had 10, and Enugu and Ogun states had nine each.

Katsina State had three new cases, Ekiti State had two, while Bauchi, Osun and Rivers states had one case each.
