FCT Has Highest Number Of COVID-19 Patients On Admission

The only two other states with more than 1,000 patients on admission are Oyo with 1,202 and Plateau with 1,089.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday reported 296 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

Plateau State accounted for 183 of the cases, the highest number the state has reported since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), however has the highest number of COVID-19 patients still on admission with 3,643.

Lagos State has 2,981 patients on admission.

The only two other states with more than 1,000 patients on admission are Oyo with 1,202 and Plateau with 1,089.

Nigeria now has 55,456 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 43,334 patients discharged
and 1,067 deaths reported.

The newly released update from NCDC, Lagos State reported 33 new cases, the FCT had 25, Ogun State had 16, Oyo State had seven and Ekiti STate had six cases.

Kwara and Ondo states had five cases each, Anambra, Imo and Nasarawa states had three each, Rivers, Gombe and Edo states had two each and Akwa Ibom State had just one.
