No Deaths As 16 States Report 453 New COVID-19 Cases

While the total number of confirmed cases stands at 47,743, 33,943 patients have been discharged, leaving only 13,800 active cases in the country today.

At least 16 states reported new cases of COVID-19 according to the update from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday.

The 16 states recorded 453 new cases of the coronavirus disease but no death was recorded from any state of the federation.

Nigeria’s death toll still stands at 956.

While the total number of confirmed cases stands at 47,743, 33,943 patients have been discharged, leaving only 13,800 active cases in the country today.

Lagos State reported the highest number of new cases with 113. It was followed by the Federal capital territory (FCT), which had 72.

Plateau State had 59 new cases, Enugu State had 55, Kaduna State had 38, Ondo State had 32, Osun State had 26, while Ebonyi State had 20.

In Ogun State, there were nine new cases, eight in Delta State, seven in Ogun State, and Borno State, six in Akwa Ibom State, five in Oyo State and one each in Bauchi, Kano and Ekiti states.
