28 States Report 653 Cases Of COVID-19

The NCDC update on Saturday shows that the number of the coronavirus Disease in Nigeria now stands at 36,107, with 14,938 patients discharged and 778 deaths recorded.

At least 28 of Nigeria’s 36 states reported new cases of COVID-19 adding up to 653 new infections according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC update on Saturday shows that the number of the coronavirus Disease in Nigeria now stands at 36,107, with 14,938 patients discharged and 778 deaths recorded.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of new infections with 115 followed by Kwara State with 85 cases.

Enugu State reported 80 new cases, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had 78, Rivers State had 36, Ondo State had 35, Oyo had 30, Katsina State had 28, while Kaduna and Abia states had 19 each.

Nasarawa State reported 18 new cases, Plateau State had 17, Imo State had 16, while Ogun, Ebonyi, Benue and Kano states all had nine cases each.

In Delta State, there were eight new cases, seven in Bauchi State, six in Ekiti State, four each in Gombe, Bayelsa, Adamawa and Osun states.

Cross River, Yobe, Borno and Zamfara states had had single case each.
