President Buhari Appoints Magnus Abe, Others To New NNPC Board

President Buhari’s approval of the reconstituted board came after the tenure of the last one constituted in 2016 expired.

President Muhammadu Buhati has approved the reconstitution of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Board.

The Presidency made this announcement in a statement released via its official twitter handle on Saturday.

According to the statement, President Buhari’s approval of the reconstituted board came after the tenure of the last one constituted in 2016 expired.

“The new board will be in place for three years. “Members of the new Board are: Mohammed Lawal (North West), Tajudeen Umar (North East), Adamu Mahmood Attah (North Central), Senator Magnus Abe (South South), Dr Stephen Dike (South East), and Chief Pius Akinyelure (South West)

“President @MBuhari has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (@NNPCgroup), after the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016”, the statement read.

Senator Magnus Abe of Rivers State and other members of the newly reconstituted board will serve for three years.
