With 91 New Infections, Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Now 873

The Nigeria centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 91 new COVID-19 cases with the total number of infections in the country now rising to 873.

NCDC in its late night daily updates on Wednesday put the number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic at 28, while197 peoplehave recovered.

The NCDC disclosed that 74 of the 91 new cases were in Lagos.

Five were in Katsina, four in Ogun, two each in Delta and Edo, and one each in Kwara, Oyo, Adamawa and the Federal Capital Territory.

NCDC in the Wednesday tweet said, “As at 11:25 pm 22nd April there are 873 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”

It said, “As at 11:25 pm 22nd April, breakdown of cases by state: Lagos-504, FCT-119, Kano-73, Ogun-24, Katsina-21, Osun-20, Oyo-17, Edo-17, Kwara-10, Kaduna-9, Akwa Ibom-9, Borno-9, Bauchi-8.”
