Akwa Ibom Records Five Cases Of COVID-19 As Nigeria’s Total Hits 174

Global record shows that confirmed cases of COVID-19 has crossed 900,000, while over 40,000 persons have died as a result of the pandemic.

Akwa Ibom State recorded five cases of corona virus infection, as total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country hits 174.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 23 new cases of Covid-19 pandemic in the country, raising the number of cases recorded to 174.

According NCDC, five out of the 23 cases were recorded in Akwa Ibom State, seven in FCT, nine in Lagos, while Kaduna and Bauchi recorded one new case each.

Global record shows that confirmed cases of COVID-19 has crossed 900,000, while over 40,000 persons have died as a result of the pandemic.

The tweet update reads: “Twenty-three new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos, 7 in the FCT, 5 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Bauchi State.

As at 08:00 pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths.”

COVID-19 has spread across 13 states in the country namely: Lagos, FCT, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Edo, Kaduna, Enugu, Bauchi, Ekiti, Rivers, Benue and Akwa Ibom.
