The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has Confirmed two more cases of covid-19 with the country’s known infections standing at 46.
In a tweet on Wednesday, NCDC said both the two newly recorded cases were recent travelers, one in Lagos and the other in Osun.
A day earlier, the country recorded positive tests for some of the highest public personalities so far, including Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Bala Mohammed.
Both Kyari and Mohammed have also been in contact with business mogul, Aliko Dangote and other public figures.
In the Wednesday tweet, NCDC said, “Two new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 in Lagos and 1 in Osun. Both cases are returning travelers. To Nigeria in the last 7 days.
“As at 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death.
