Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Has Coronavirus

Kyari was tested by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control over the weekend with the result coming back positive early on Monday.

Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has tested positive to coronavirus according to several sources.

He is currently under quarantine receiving treatment.

Kyari was tested by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control over the weekend with the result coming back positive early on Monday. The president has reportedly tested negative.

A media outlet, Sahara Reporters had earlier reported that Kyari was unwell after returning from a trip to Germany and Egypt.

Kyari was in Germany for meetings relating to the power sector.

The chief of staff was accompanied on the trip by Sale Mamman, the minister of power and Prof. James Momoh, the executive chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
