President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday signed the 2020 budget into law, restoring Nigeria’s budget to a January – December implementation cycle.
Buhari, who marked his 77th birth date on Tuesday, announced that he has assented to the N10.59trn 2020 budget on Twitter.
He said, “It is my pleasant duty, today, on my 77th birthday, to sign the 2020 Appropriation Bill into law.”
Expressing satisfaction in the quick passage of the proposed budget by the National Assembly, Buhari said the Nigerian budget has been restored to a January-December cycle.
He said, “I’m pleased that the National Assembly has expeditiously passed this Bill. Our Federal Budget is now restored to a January-December implementation cycle.”
