The Interview magazine has announced plans to mark its first anniversary with a public lecture and presentation on Tuesday, September 6 in Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the MD/Editor-In-Chief, Mr. Azu Ishiekwene, the lecture, entitled, Why Start-ups Fail And Strategies To Save Them, “is designed to address one of the most topical and troubling issues of our time – how to create and sustain private-sector driven jobs.”
Ishiekwene said, “We have invited a broad range of stakeholders from Nigeria and other economic engine rooms across the continent – including entrepreneurs, investors and regulators – to share their experiences and provide practical solutions. We’ll be sharing ideas about things that have worked and failed and also providing insights that businesses can use.”
The statement said the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has accepted to be the Special Guest Of Honour, while South Africa’s leading publisher and CEO of The Mail and Guardian, Mr. Trevor Ncube, will be the Guest Speaker.
Other speakers will be the MD/CEO of RainOil, Mr. Gabriel Ogbechie and the Chairman and Founder of the Mike Omotosho Foundation, Dr. Mike Omotosho.
The chairman of the occasion is the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, while the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Abdul’Aziz Abubakar Yari, is the chief presenter.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, is the chief host.
