Kingsley Moghalu

Mr. Kingsley Moghalu, a presidential aspirant of African Democratic Congress (ADC) has promised to overhaul the polic, toward effectively performing their duties.

Moghalu said this in Abuja when he addressed journalists shortly after obtaining his expression of interest and nomination forms at the ADC secretariat, promising also to introduce an educational reform.

“Look at what is happening today, the government has failed to recognise that quality and functional education is a catalyst for national development.

“If you visit the dormitories of our tertiary institutions you would wipe to see the living conditions our children are subjected to while trying to acquire education.

“But when I become the president by God grace, I will ensure not less than 20 per cent budgetary allocation to the education sector.

“Teachers training will be prioritised, the curriculum will be reformed, and educational environment would be improved upon to a more conducive learning environment,” he said.

Moghalu said that his plans was to modernise the Nigeria Police Force through enhanced training, equipment and other support.

According to him, without reforming the police to what it should be in comparison to 21st century global police, then we cannot handle security challenges.

“I will reform the police by recruiting not less than a million personnel, provide necessary equipment to enable it uphold its mandate.

“The police will become proactive through intelligence gathering because intelligence is the germane in fighting insecurity.

“One life lost in any attack is one too many for us as a nation, and so we would rather take out what ever stands to threaten the security of Nigeria and Nigerians,” he said.

He called on Nigerians to give technocrats and economic expert the opportunity to revive and restore the nations dwindling economy.

Moghalu said that he was ready to run a multidimensional and diversified economy with his economic expertise and strategies if elected in 2023.

He said that as a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) he understood that economic diversification was the key to Nigeria’s economy.

“As a former CBN deputy governor and a former member of the Committee of Governors (COG), I understand Nigeria’s economy situation and I have the expertise to revive it,” he said.

He assured Nigerians of reduction in the cost of living and a safer country devoid of terrorists’ attacks and other internal and external threats that could hinder progress.

The ADC National Chairman, Mr Ralphs Nwosu, congratulated Moghalu for identifying the party as a credible alternative platform for the 2023 election.

He said that the party’s decision to receive the presidential aspirant was because his visions aligned with that of the party.

He said that the party has over ten presidential aspirants who have shown interest in running for the same position on its platform, saying however, Moghalu was the first to officially purchase the party’s forms.
Nwosu described Moghalu as a technocrat and an expert in his field with a capacity to produce results if given the opportunity to serve Nigeria.
