Pension Fund Assets Grew By N1.11trn In 2021 – PenCom

The National Pension Commission has reported that pension fund assets rose from N12.31 trillion as at December 31, 2020, to N13.42 trillion in December 31, 2021, which indicated a N1.11 trillion increase.

This is contained in a data published by the commission on its website and obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.

The report stated that the fund assets increased by N168.29 billion between November and December 2021.

It said that the value of the fund assets in US dollars, was US$32.51 billion at an exchange rate of N410.66 to the dollar.

According to the commission, Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders also increased by 31 million in 2021, from 9.22 million people in December 31, 2020, to 9.53 million in December 31, 2021.
