FCTA Budgets N299.9bn For 2021

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has budgeted N299.9 billion for 2021.

FCTA Minister Mohammed Bello said this on Tuesday in Abuja at a meeting with members of Senate Committee on FCT.

Bello said N215.9bn of the amount was distributable revenue, while N84bn was non distributable revenue.

According to him, there is an increase of N101bn representing 34 per cent over the 2020 figure.

“We are bringing the increase, because of a lot of the effort, we are making in the adminstration over the past years, we think in 2021 budget we will be able to ensure results.

“Our plan is to spend 54.6 per cent of the entire budget on capital expenditure, while recurrent, made up of personnels and overhead cost will take the balance of 45.4 per cent,” he said.

Earlier, Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Abubakar Kyari (APC- Katsina) said the committee would remain steadfast in the task of conducting oversight to foster service delivery to FCT residents.
