Nigeria’s New COVID-19 Daily Cases Drop

There are now a total of 42,208 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 19,004 patients discharged and 873 total deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday reported 404 new cases of COVID-19, a 20 to 30 percent drop from previous days.

The update from NCDC showed 240 patients were discharged from hospital, while five more deaths were recorded.

There are now a total of 42,208 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 19,004 patients discharged and 873 total deaths.

Lagos State reported the highest number of new cases with 106, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which had 54.

Rivers State had 48 new cases.

In Plateau State, there were 40 new cases, 28 in Edo State, 21 in Enugu State, 20 in Oyo State, 18 in Kano State, 15 in Ondo State and 10 in Ogun states.

There nine new cases in Ebonyi State, eight in Ekiti State, six in Kaduna State, five in Cross River State and four in Kwara State.

Anambra and Delta states reported three new cases each, Imo and Nasarawa states had two each, while Borno State had one.
