Louis Odion, Others Join Presidential Media Team

Leading Nigerian Journalist, Louis Odion, appointed senior technical assistant in the presidency.

Louis Odion, a journalist and former commissioner of information, Edo State is the Senior Technical Assistant on Media to the President.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Louis Odion as the Senior Technical Assistant on Print Media.

This was revealed in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande, on Wednesday.

Mr. Odion has nearly three decades experience in journalism, from National Concord to ThisDay and SUN newspapers, where he held senior editorial positions.

He was Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the daily National Life and also Commissioner for Information in Edo State.

He’s also the Lagos State Ambassador for the Environment, a serial award winner in punditry, and a contributor to Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka’s book, “Green Cards, Green Gods”. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

Mr. Akande equally stated that President Buhari had also appointed Mr. Ahmad Rufai Zakari as Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, as Senior Special Assistant on Education Interventions, and Mr. Ajuri Ngelale as Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs in the Presidency.
