More Than A Witness - The cover of Issue 28 of The Interview Magazine September 2018.

This edition is more than a collection of deep interviews: it’s an excursion into those aspects of life and politics that hardly get the attention of the media in the daily crush of events.

Take our interview with Hajiya Ireti Kingibe, for example. Ireti, a US-trained civil engineer and former Chair of LEADERSHIP Group, is the younger sister of Ajoke Mohammed, the widow of Nigeria’s slain former military head of state, Murtala.

Ireti Kingibe was 22 when that tragic event occurred and knew enough about the family’s grief to write a book. But that was not all. Later when she got married to one of Nigeria’s leading politicians and diplomat, Babagana Kingibe, she faced another extraordinary turn of events when the June 12 election was cancelled and her husband who was MKO Abiola’s running mate was left in the limbo.

In this edition, Ireti not only shares some of those difficult personal moments, but also explains why she is the most qualified candidate to represent the Federal Capital Territory in the Senate.

We also bring you interviews with Nigeria’s shining star and principal of the London high school with the best 2018 A-level results, Dr. Dayo Olukoshi.

Senator Saidu Dansadau speaks on his party’s plan to depose President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019; while entrepreneur and alumnus of YALI, Saidat Shonoiki, shares her passion for agriculture.

Plus, the regulars. It’s another special companion.

Enjoy!
