Buhari Receives New EFCC Chair, Bawa in Abuja

Details of the meeting was not available as at press time but it is believed to centered around the numerous fraud cases bedeviling the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari and EFCC Cahirman, Abdulrasheed Bawa at the State House on Thursday.

The newly appointed chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, is currently in the State House, Abuja to meet President Buhari.

This is coming after Bawa’s confirmation as the EFCC Chairman following a Senate screening on Wednesday.

Details of the meeting was not available as at press time but it is believed to centered around the numerous fraud cases bedeviling the country.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, a career security expert was lobbied for the top position earlier this month via a Presidential nomination.

He succeeds former acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, who is currently undergoing graft-related investigations.
