Honourable Bashir Mohammed, representing Nguroje constituency at the state assembly has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The lawmaker was abducted from his home at Yamusala area, behind DSS office in Jalingo at about 1.00 am, Wednesday morning.
The abduction took place with the gunmen, who went in a large number, continually firing the guns in the air.
They were reported to have ridden into the area on motorcycles.
The Taraba State Police Command is yet to officially confirm the abduction of the lawmaker.
