Nigeria Records 118 New Cases Of COVID-19

The country now has a total of 61,558 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease with 56,697 patients so far discharged.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday reported 118 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The country now has a total of 61,558 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease with 56,697 patients so far discharged.

With no new deaths recorded, the total death toll remained at 1,125.

Only 10 states reported new cases.

Lagos State, which from the outbreak of the pandemic has been the epicentre of the disease in Nigeria recorded 51 new cases, the highest on Monday.

It was followed by Rivers State, which had 26 new cases, Imo State had 12, Osun State had eight, Plateau State had six, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had five, Kaduna State had four, Ogun State had three, Edo State had two while Niger State had one one case.
