Nigeria Records 189 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday reported 189 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The latest update from NCDC shows Nigeria now has a total of 57,145 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease, with 48,431 patients discharged.

The total number of deaths from the pandemic now stands at 1,095.

Lagos State reported the highest number of new cases with 70 infections, followed by Plateau, which had 37.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had 24 new cases, Kaduna State had 19, Rivers State reported 12, Oyo State had five and Ogun State had four new cases.

Ebonyi, Katsina, Ondo and Osun states had three each, Imo and Yobe states had two each, while Ekiti and Nasarawa states had one case each.
