The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday reported 138 new cases of COVID-19, the lowest since April 24, 2020 when 113 new cases of the disease.
The update from NCDC also showed a decrease in the number of states reporting new cases to only 14.
Lagos State, which has been the epicentre of the Coronavirus pandemic reported only 15 new cases, the lowest in several months.

Plateau State, however, had the highest number of new cases for sixth day running.
It had 55 new infections.
Ebonyi and Oyo states each reported 11 new cases, Abia State had eight, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Anambara and Rivers states had seven cases each.

Kaduna State had six new infections, Ondo State had five, Kwara State recorded three, and Bauchi, Benue and Edo states had one cases each.
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria now stands at 53,865, while 41,513 patients have been discharged and 1,013 deaths reported.
