The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday reported 304 new cases of COVID-19, the lowest number recorded since June 8 when 315 cases were reported.
Nigeria reached a peak of 790 cases on July 1, 2020. Cases have however been dropping since then.

In the latest NCDC update, five new deaths were reported and 221 patients were discharged.
Nigeria now has a total of 43,841 confirmed, 20,308 discharged patients and 888 recorded deaths.
The number of cases in Lagos State which has continued to fall remained below 100 at 81.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which saw an increase in the number of new cases for three straight days reported only 39 cases on Sunday.
Abia State had the third highest number of new cases with 31, Kaduna State had 24 and
Rivers State had 23.

In Plateau State, there were 16 new cases, 13 in Cross River State, 12 each in Ebonyi and Ondo states, and 11 each Ekiti and Edo states.
Benue and Nasarawa states had 10 new cases each, Ogun State reported six and Gombe State recorded five new cases.
