Abuja-Kaduna Train Service To Resume Wednesday

The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the Abuja-Kaduna train service will resume operations on Wednesday next week.

Amaechi, who conducted inspection of new coaches of train, made this announcement via his official twitter handle on Saturday.

“Abuja-Kaduna train service will resume operations on Wednesday. We just conducted inspection of the new coaches on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line”, Amaechi said.

He said resumption of train operation would adhere strictly to COVID-19 safety guidelines and sitting arrangement in the train had been made to ensure social distancing.

“Social distancing is set as the new normal with end to end sitting arrangement”, Amaechi added.

The Federal Government had shut down all train stations across the country since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
