Nigeria Has More Than 7000 COVID-19 Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 339 new cases of COVID-19 cases in the country taking the total number of confirmed cases to 7,016.

Lagos State alone which had 139 new cases now has a total of 3,093 cases.

It is followed by Kano State, which has a total of 875 and then the FCT with 446 total cases, rounding up the top three.

The NCDC in its Thursday update reported 28 new cases each in Kano and Oyo, while 25 cases were recorded in Edo.

22 cases were reported in Katsina, 18 in Kaduna, 14 in Jigawa, 13 each in Yobe and Plateau, 11 in FCT, eight in Gombe, five in Ogun, four each in Bauchi and Nasarawa.

There were three new cases in Delta, two in Ondo and one each in Rivers and Adamawa.

The number of discharged patients now stands at 1907, while recorded deaths rose by 11 to 211.
