Cross River, Kogi Yet To Report COVID-19 Infections As Cases Near 2000

Cross River and Kogi remain the only two states in Nigeria yet to officially record any cases of the Coronavirus just as the country reported its highest daily increase of 204 new cases bringing the total to 1932.

Yobe State only reported it first case two days ago, while on the other hand, cases are soaring in Kano, Gombe, Borno and Ogun.

The Nigeria Centre for Diesease Control (NCDC) in a tweet said that as at 11:50pm 30th April, there were 1932 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria, 319 discharged and 58 deaths recorded.

Lagos which recorded 45 new cases now has 976 confirmed cases and could hit the 1000 mark on Friday.

Gombe, with a total of 76 cases had 12 new ones on Thursday, Bauchi and Sokoto had nine each. Borno and Edo reported seven new cases each, while Rivers and Ogun states reported six cases each.

The Federal Capital Territor (FCT), Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa each had four new cases.

Kaduna had three, Oyo two, Delta and Nasarawa had two each, while Ondo and Kebbi had one each.
