Adamawa Records Two New Cases Of COVID-19

Adamawa state has recorded two new cases of COVID-19, making it a total of four confirmed cases in the state.

Mr. Bashir Ahmad, the Secretary to the State Governmentand also the State Chairman COVID-19 Containment Committee who disclosed this on Friday evening explained that the new cases had no link to the other two cases in the state.

He said that after the Committee received report of nine out of the 11 samples sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Abuja seven tested negative while two came back positive.

“Out of the two new cases, one is from Hildi, Hong local government and the other who is a female is in Saminaka, Yola South local government and they are currently at the Isolation Centre.”

He therefore urged citizens of of the state to abide by all the safety measures in order to help curb the spread of the virus.
