Adamawa Records First Case Of COVID-19

Adamawa State has recorded its first case of COVID-19, the government has said.

According to the Governor of the state, Ahmadu Fintiri, who made the announcement in a state broadcast on Wednesday, the index case is a returnee from Kano State.

Fintiri also noted that the index case had been in self-quarantine since he returned from Kano last week.

The victim who has been moved to the Isolation centre in Yola also confirmed it.

He said, “I just got a call from the covid-19 containment committee this morning, informing me that my result showed I’m positive for the virus.”
