The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has Confirmed five more cases of covid-19 with the country’s known infections standing now at 51.
The NCDC on its update as at 11.25pm on Wednesday said that Nigeria now had 51 cases with with two cases each in Abuja and Lagos, and one in Rivers.
According to the NCDC, three out of the five new cases, are returning travellers into Nigeria while two are close contacts of a confirmed case.
It tweeted, “As at 11:25 pm 25th March, there are, 51 confirmed cases, two discharge and one death.”
Two days ago, the country recorded positive tests for some of the highest public personalities so far, including Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Bala Mohammed.
So far, Nigeria has recorded one death and two of the confirmed cases have been discharged.
