COVID-19: Governor Fayemi Goes Into Self-quarantine

The Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has revealed that he is self-quarantine because he had contact with two persons who have tested positive for corona virus.

Fayemi, who made this announcement via his official twitter handle, also disclosed that he had taken the a COVID-19 test.

He said, “I just took a CoviD 19 test, having gone into self quarantine since yesterday evening. “I’m asymptomatic and feel well, but I was in meetings with two people who had since tested positive.

Fayemi also encouraged his colleagues to take COVID-19 test.

He said, “I look forward to an all clear and have encouraged all my colleagues to take the test.”

Nigeria has recorded 46 confirmed cases of and one death as a result of COVID-19.
