President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday congratulated British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson on his election victory in the just-concluded UK general elections.
Johnson’s Conservative Party secured 365 seats, while the Labour party won 203 seats.
Buhari, who shared his congratulatory message to Johnson on Twitter, said he looks forward to working with the reelected Prime Minister to forge a stronger Nigeria-UK relationship.
He also wished Johnson luck as he leads the UK out of the European Union.
He said, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his election victory.
I look forward to working together to forge a stronger Nigeria-UK relationship, and wish him the best of luck as he navigates the people of Britain through the decisive period of leaving the European Union.”
